Help guide newly released individuals towards thriving futures through PEP’s innovative sponsorship program. This program equips participants with essential life skills for a successful reintegration within their first 90 days (and beyond).
Impactful Curriculum:
- 30-minute lectures by experienced instructors.
- Sponsor-led workshops (1 hour) focused on relevant reintegration topics.
- Choice-driven workbook addressing personal challenges like goal setting, job searching, and financial management.
Results:
- Reduced recidivism: PEP boasts a remarkable 4% recidivism rate within participants who complete
the program. - Empowered individuals: Participants gain confidence, improved communication skills, realistic goal setting abilities, and financial stability.
- Stronger communities: Your contribution ripples outward, creating a more supportive and inclusive environment for all.
Role Description:
- Mentoring and guiding: Provide support and encouragement while sharing your own experiences as a successful community leader.
- Building accountability: Help participants develop discipline and stick to their self-improvement goals.
- Nurturing confidence: Foster trust and empower individuals to believe in their potential.
Qualifications:
- Strong moral compass and a commitment to helping others.
- Patience, responsiveness, and a desire to support newly released individuals.
- General business knowledge (preferred) and a passion for empowering others.
Commitment:
- Weekly one-hour meetings (minimum every other week) for 9-12 weeks.
- Occasional phone/email support to stay connected.
Your Responsibilities:
- Active Listening: Create a safe space for participants to share their challenges and aspirations, offering non-judgmental support.
- Workbook Guidance: Facilitate chosen modules from the 9-lesson workbook, providing insightful feedback and encouragement.
- Tailored Support: Recognize each participant’s unique situation and offer personalized advice and resources.
