What happens after release matters most

Reentry isn’t the end of the journey; it’s where transformation takes root.

The first 90 days after release are the most critical in a returning citizen’s journey. Without support, many face a confusing and isolating reentry—often with only $50, a bus ticket, and no ID, housing, or job. Nearly 50% of recidivism happens during this vulnerable period.

PEP graduates, however, are never released alone. Through mentorship, housing, and reentry programming, they’re welcomed into a community of accountability, character, and hope.

You can play a vital role in that transformation.

Phase 1: eSchool

In the first 90 days, participants attend weekly eSchool sessions focused on job readiness, life skills, and personal development. Taught by professionals, business leaders, and educators, these classes provide practical tools for navigating life outside prison. Participants also receive:

  • Transitional housing (in Dallas and Houston)
  • Job search and employment support
  • Assistance with identification, transportation, and clothing
  • Access to peer support and technology
  • This phase offers a safe, structured environment that reinforces PEP’s values while helping men adjust to life outside.

Phase 2: eSchool Aspiration

For those who dream of launching a business, the Aspiration phase dives deeper into entrepreneurship. Participants learn:

  • How to build a customer base
  • Business technology and tools
  • Financial planning and marketing strategies
  • Each aspiring entrepreneur is matched with a mentor for a full year of one-on-one guidance.

Phase 3: Learn and Grow

In the final phase, graduates with existing businesses gain access to:

  • Networking and executive mentoring
  • Investor pitch opportunities
  • Accounting and business development services
  • This stage empowers men to stabilize and scale their ventures—fostering economic independence and long-term success.

Be the difference between reentry and recidivism.
