Twenty years of practice is now institutionalizing what has long been intuitive; and now teaching and convening as we recognize our work is both a program and a community where anyone in need of a second chance can find opportunity and belonging.
This evolution is being driven by the most significant shift in TDCJ’s history: the distribution of tablets to every resident of Texas prisons.
This will shift PEP’s reach from 1,500 to 115,000.
This shift will require new resources to respond to
the increased demand.
Where We’re Headed
What Expansion Looks Like
We’re strategically scaling our programs across Texas and beyond. That includes:
New prison units in partnership with TDCJ
Additional transitional housing in underserved regions
Expanded access to eSchool and business training
Community hubs to support post-release success
PEP’s proven model transforms incarcerated individuals into leaders, entrepreneurs, and contributors.
As demand for our program grows—and the need for effective reentry solutions becomes more urgent—we’re expanding our reach to serve more participants, more families, and more communities.
