We are so grateful to everyone who took part in the #HelpTheHelpers campaign that resulted in PEP raising over $100,000 which will be directly matched, dollar for dollar, by the Stand Together Foundation. Whether you contributed financially or served as an advocate spreading our message, we want you to know you are an important part of our mission to Transform Lives, Restore Families, and Rebuild Communities.

A Special Message from the Development Team

If you didn’t get a chance to contribute during the #HelpTheHelpers Campaign, you can still make a contribution to PEP and help us as we lean on our 10 Driving Values, especially INNOVATION. We have shifted how we provide programming to over 400 participants inside and reentry support to our returning citizens on the outside. It is more important than ever that we succeed because PEP is too important to push pause and wait for things to change…we are creating change.

  •  We have shifted our Business Plan Competition from an in-prison event to a completely virtual event.
  • Our team of in-prison volunteer instructors are now creating distance learning modules so that our participants have little to no disruption in their character development, leadership training and entrepreneurship education.
  • We have shifted our post-release eduction courses to 100% online using video conferencing technology.
  • Our reentry teams in Houston and Dallas have partnered with local employers and agencies to ensure that our participants have viable job options upon their release.

This sort of INNOVATION ensures that PEP continues to  achieve impressive results like 100% employment for our graduates within 90 days of release and a 2% recidivism (return to prison) rate for our participants.
