Document 1: Media Waiver
All guests are required to sign the media waiver and return it to Al Massey at least three days before your designated event. Waivers may be delivered in one of the following ways:

Document 2: Prison FAQ Document
We understand that you might have questions about visiting prison, especially if you’ve never been to prison before. Whether you’re familiar with prison or not, please read the FAQ document which will provide you with information regarding prison policies, dress code, your role at prison events and much more.
Document 3: TDCJ Volunteer Application
If you plan to visit prison more than four times please go ahead and fill out the TDCJ Volunteer Application. Once you’ve filled out the application please mail it to:

Once you’ve mailed your form wait approximately four weeks to receive a confirmation letter from TDCJ. When you receive your letter and DO NOT lose it! With your letter will be a list of all volunteer training sessions across the state. Please feel free to schedule the training on your own, as there are usually no training sessions held at the Cleveland Unit.
On the day of your training, do NOT forget to take your letter. Failure to bring your letter will result in not being able to attend the training so make sure to take care of the letter!
Once you’ve completed your training, please email Al Massey so that PEP will have a record that you have become an approved TDCJ Volunteer.
Document 4: TDCJ Volunteer Questionnaire
If you have ever served time in prison, please complete the TDCJ Volunteer Questionnaire and mail it in with your volunteer application.
